M&D Foundation’s Houston Event Strengthens Support for Education
In October, attendees gathered in Houston, Texas, for a fundraising event hosted by the Momina and Duraid (M&D) Foundation to support educational programmes for students in Pakistan.
The event brought together a diverse group of attendees, including local celebrities, philanthropists and community leaders. During the event, it was announced that Syed Javaid Anwar contributed 300,000 dollars towards the foundation’s education initiatives, highlighting a strong commitment to expanding learning opportunities.
During the programme, guests received updates on the foundation’s ongoing work, the challenges students face, and the specific areas where support is most needed. The discussion focused on practical priorities, including scholarships, learning materials and academic guidance.
Alongside raising funds, the event also helped build awareness of the foundation’s programmes and strengthened support within the Houston community. The M&D Foundation will now use these contributions and the momentum from the event to advance its mission of widening access to education in Pakistan.
