JMDC Celebrates 10th Convocation
Jinnah Medical and Dental College (JMDC) held its 10th convocation at Community Center, PAF Faisal Base, Karachi recently. Degrees were awarded to more than 200 successful graduates.
The ceremony highlighted the accomplishments of graduating students with the distribution of 58 medals. Notably, female students earned 21 medals, showcasing their academic excellence. Vahora Maham, an MBBS graduate, received an impressive six medals in recognition of her outstanding educational performance.
Honorary Guest Ms Sultana Siddiqui, President HUM Network also addressed the audience urging the graduates to pledge allegiance to their country and appealed to them to remain in Pakistan, emphasizing the critical need for their services to address the shortage of doctors and contribute to fulfilling the healthcare needs of the nation. She said that to achieve something in life one had to work hard and focus to reach their goal. Ms Siddiqui gave her own example of becoming the first network owner from scratch and also looking after three young children single-handedly due to her focused goal.
Professor Dr. Amjad Siraj, Vice Chancellor of JSMU, presided over the convocation. He addressed the graduating class, congratulating them on their achievements and acknowledging the significant contributions of parents and teachers in shaping their success. Professor Siraj commended JMDC for its reputation as a distinguished medical college, providing students with high-quality education at an accessible cost. He emphasized the critical need for healthcare professionals in Pakistan and urged the graduates to serve their country by addressing the shortage of doctors.
