The event was conducted by Abeel Khan, who, while reflecting on the vibrant history of Karachi, stated, “Karachi has played a pivotal role in the development of Pakistan. Today we honour a woman whose creative courage has inspired a generation.”

During his speech, Deputy Commissioner Taha Saleem remarked that Sultana Siddiqui is not only a revered figure in the media landscape but also a remarkable embodiment of women’s leadership in Pakistan. “Having a road named after her is a matter of immense pride for us all.”

Chairman Atif Ali reiterated the significance of this initiative, stating, “The inauguration of this road transcends mere naming; it is a tribute to the relentless struggle and accomplishments of a woman who has set new benchmarks in the media industry.”

In his closing remarks, Duraid Qureshi, CEO of HUM Network, expressed gratitude to the Government of Sindh, the district administration, and all the guests: “It fills me with joy to see a road in the neighbourhood where I grew up named after my mother.
