In a world where music reigns and connects people from all walks of life, meeting the talented celebrity singer Ahmed Jehanzaib was an illuminating experience. Known for his spellbinding performances on stage and composing chart-busting numbers like Tera Mera Pyaar Hai Amar from Ishq Murshid, the artist has come a long way, with a musical journey that is truly a roller-coaster ride!

Reflecting on the roots of his musical passion, Ahmed explained his inclination towards music, which manifested itself from an early age. The artist credited his parents’ love for music and the weekly mehfil at their home, where seasoned artists would perform, as factors that strengthened his connection to the art form.

Recalling his father’s pivotal role in building his career, Ahmed shared how his father had introduced him to the world of musical keys by gifting a keyboard at the tender age of four, and continuing to support his progress by arranging interactions with senior artists. When asked about the most memorable moment in his career, Ahmed humbly responds that he believed the best was yet to come, with many aspirations still to be fulfilled.

Asked about his favourite compositions and songs, he said, “Where do I even begin? It’s a never-ending list of musical marvels such as ‘Khuda aur Muhabbat,’ ‘Pyaar Ke Sadqay,’ ‘Aap Ki Yaad’ and ‘Kaho Aik Din.”

“Listen up, my friends! Work hard, work insanely hard. If you want to make something of yourself in this crazy beautiful world, put in the effort and let your passion drive you forward,” says Jehanzaib

Speaking about the impact of digital platforms like YouTube and Spotify, the artist emphasized that these platforms were not prevalent when he started his career, gaining fame before their advent. However, he acknowledged TikTok as a recent player, supporting the virality of one of his recent hits. “There’s a huge benefit that these platforms bring to present-day artists, making it easier for them to gain exposure and become overnight sensations,” he acknowledges.

Looking at the music industry as a whole, the singer expressed a desire for a more positive and supportive environment. He emphasized the need to minimize negativity, eliminate obstacles for budding talent and to provide unhindered space for the artistic community, citing the example of Coke Studio. Sharing his appreciation for Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan, Producer Coke Studio, the singer strongly advocated fostering an atmosphere that nurtures talent.

In a teaser for his upcoming projects and collaborations, the singer held back on divulging specific details but did hint that he is working with a renowned international music producer. Fueling curiosity, he also revealed that his recent trip to Dubai was promising with exciting musical endeavours on a global scale in the near future.

Expressing their dream collaborations, Ahmed lists a host of illustrious names, both local and international. “From Shreya Ghoshal to Jon Williams and A.R. Rahman, my desire to collaborate with these musical luminaries underlines my passion for creating music that transcends borders and connects souls.”

Ahmed Jehanzaib revealed his passion for both composing and singing. “Singing drains a lot of energy out of you. It’s not a piece of cake as most think. But when you’re composing music, oh, it’s like a healing process. It brings joy to my soul, and I believe that’s one of the secrets behind my happiness. So, if I had to choose, I’d definitely go with composing music. It’s a blissful escape.”

Having gone through the ups and downs of his music career, the singer’s advice for aspiring musicians looking to break into the industry is, “Listen up, my friends! Work hard, work insanely hard. If you want to make something of yourself in this crazy beautiful world, put in the effort and let your passion drive you forward. Dream big, and don’t you ever stop dreaming. Dreams do come true; trust me on this. Aim high, stay consistent, and believe in yourself and your craft.” But at the same time, he emphasized, “Always, always remember to be humble, kind and the best darn human being you can be!”
