JINNAH INTER-SCHOOL DECLAMATION COMPETITION

The Board of Management Quaid-e-Azam House Museum held a Declamation Contest recently, in which 36 schools from Karachi participated. Ten finalists were selected at the Elimination Contest. Speaking on the occasion the Senior Vice Chairman Board of Management, Liaquat Merchant emphasised that the purpose was to carry out activities relating to nation building of the younger generation.

“This younger generation needs to be provided with independent public opinion on matters relating to Quaid-e- Azam Muhmmad Ali Jinnah as well as his principles, ideals and vison for Pakistan. Our students need to be provided with adequate information regarding the creation of Pakistan. Education was a major factor which the Quaid-e-Azam time and again emphasised as being vital to the success of Pakistan.”

After the contest the judges, Ghazi Salahuddin and Ameena Saiyed gave their concluding remarks with Spenta Kandawala giving her comments on the performance of the students at this contest.

Commodore Retd Sadeed A. Malik Secretary General, Board of Management conveyed the vote of thanks to the judges, student speakers and the audience for attending the contest and said that more such activities for the benefit of students will be held from time-to-time in order to propagate the ideals and vision of Quaid Azam.
